Nothing exciting but I'm glad I finally finished it. The pattern was easy to work and it wasn't supposed to have a center flower. It took me forever to find a poinsettia pattern and I made up the pattern for the leaves and didn't write it down. Argh!

Out Of My Slump
I finally came out of my crocheting slump and finished a Christmas doily. My resident blocker pineed it out last night and all there is left for me to do is sew the poinsettia on. The red would have bled onto the white no matter what trick I've tried over the years. Picture to come later.

Waffling
I've been waffling between doilies and a shawl. I have half the shawl finished. It has cuffs which helps it to stay on. It's a pattern from Bella Crochet. The Christmas doily is nearly finished and I already have another in mind which I also bought from Bella Crochet.

Crawling Out From Beneath My Rock
I finally crawled out from beneath my rock and started crocheting again. I started on a Christmas doily and didn't like the colors so I frogged it and now I'm working on one which the colors will be nice as long as they don't fade on one another during the blocking process. That's the problem when using white with dark colors.

In A Slump
I'm in a crocheting slump. I've been taking Chantix to stop smoking and it makes me nauseous all the live long day so I haven't crocheted in two days. I'm going to call the doctor and ask him to prescribe some anti-nausea medicine because I have 6 more weeks of taking it twice a day. I've tried saltines, ginger, Coca Cola and Emetrol. Nothing helps.
There are so many Christmas doilies and things I'd like to start on. I think I'll skip the Thanksgiving ones since I already did the Harvest Dance doily. We go to Arizona for the winter around Christmas and it takes a few weeks to get settled back in. This way, I'll have everything made and hopefully sold and then I can concentrate on Valentine's Day.
