Buried In Thread

I went downstairs to halfway straighten up my stash of thread and realized I have enough thread to last years.  I have some new thread on its way, though.  I need it to finish a doily I'm working on.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I'll have plenty of time to crochet after my operation which will be coming up soon.  The surgeon's office is supposed to call Tuesday with the date and time.  The operation is on my hip so no sitting in a chair for awhile but crocheting in bed is no problem as I have done it before.

Lacier Things

Firstly, I apologize for the italics.  For some reason all my posts are in italics no matter what I try.  Blogger.com is making me so aggravated over this.

Lately, all I have been using is size 10 thread.  The last doily I made felt so heavy so I am now working on a doily using size 30 thread.  The middle is white and I am waiting for some hand-dyed variegated thread.  For some reason you can find only solids in size 30 thread.  Every once in awhile I come across some vintage thread.

In The Interim

I just finished this yesterday.  It was something to do in the interim while waiting for my new size 30 hand-dyed thread to arrive.  You can find size 30 thread in solid colors but not variegated so I buy it from a wonderful lady on eBay.

It is called "Star Of Hope" and is a vintage pattern.

Nothing else out of the ordinary going on here.  Just trying to keep warm and the snow shoveled. Thanks for stopping by!

I Needed More Thread - Not!

I bought some 12 balls of thread off eBay last night. It was unopened balls of Aunt Lydia's, Royale and Traditions. One was a huge (2,400 yds.) ball of white thread that had most of it left on the ball. Price = shipping was $17.75 It was worth it because the big ball of white costs that much alone.
