Christmas In September

Just finished my first Christmas doily of the season. It was a Patricia Kristoffersen design that I embellished on. I love her patterns but they are intricate and take longer to make. I've already started another Christmas doily. It is a pattern by Elizabeth Hiddleson . Her patterns are nice and most of them don't take as long to crochet because they are more airy. I'm going to wait until I have a few finished then put them up for auction on eBay at one time so if someone looks at one they may look at the other. Pictures to come...

And The Winner Is...

Someone bought the Thanksgiving doily on eBay last night. There was 6 watchers but the first bidder was the only one to bid. So glad someone appreciates my work!

In The Interim...

I had started the Yellow Rose of Texas Doily and saw that a lot of people were selling Thanskgiving/Fall doilies so I stopped and crocheted this one and it will be up for auction tonight.

Chrysanthemum

Well, gloriosky! The Mums & Pineapples doily sold yesterday! I am making a very pretty doily now called "Yellow Rose of Texas". I bought the kit from Annie's Attic. After finishing it I can use the pattern again to make it in a different color.

Won By A Nose

I did get the doily finished last night but my husband doesn't have time to take a picture of it today. Maybe I can post it on eBay tomorrow. The Summer Flower Garden doily sold last night for $10 Not what it's worth but at least somebody liked it enough to pay for it.

Race To The Finish

I'm trying to get a doily finished in the next day or two so it will be on eBay at the same time another one I made. If someone looks at one they'll see the other. It's going to be fall colors. I'm not good at coordinating colors so my husband bought a box of 64 crayons for me to use for making drafts. I scan a doily picture, print it out and color it trying out different schemes. If it doesn't look right I can keep printing them out and coloring them.

Forgot I Had Made This

Not a very clear picture but this is a hairpin (maltese) lace and crochet doily I made about 4 years ago.

Delusions Of Grandeur

Guess I'm kidding myself about my crochet skills. I haven't sold a doily since the Boneyard Doily. The Frog Doorstop sold for a measly $4.99. Doesn't keep me from plodding along!
